February 23, 1930 died Sturmfuhrer CA Horst Ludwig Wessel (b. 10/09/1907), mortally wounded communist Albrecht "Ali" Helerom January 14. At the trial in late 1930 Helera and his accomplice Erwin Rückert sentenced to six years and one month's hard labor in prison. Another one of those who had been with Helerom, received five years. Salm widow jailed for six years. National Socialists were outraged by "the verdict." Killers got what they deserved since the advent of the Nazi Party to power. At the cemetery, erected a monument to Wessel. January 31, 1931 his mother wrote Reichsfuhrer SS Heinrich Himmler: "Kind words Hitler was such a blessing to me, and the march was a fine fellow goodness for my son."
